Idaho Aerospace Alliance Members Exhibit in the International Singapore Airshow with Idaho Department of Commerce

(BOISE, IDAHO February 7, 2018) The Idaho Aerospace Alliance (IDAA) announced this week that six of its members partnered with the Idaho Department of Commerce to exhibit at the International Singapore Airshow at booth P95. IDAA member companies AERO Specialties, AeroLEDs, Aviation Specialties Unlimited, Black Sage Technologies, G Zero, and Tamarack Aerospace Group will all showcase their companies’ products and services at the largest aviation show in Asia with approximately 50,000 people in attendance.

“The IDAA continues to grow and its members are making an impact globally,” said IDAA Board President Homy Panahi. “The strength of the aviation sector in Idaho continues to grow and expand. Seeing our members flourish and the IDAA membership base grow is a tremendous reflection on the quality of companies we have in our region.”

G Zero’s President Dave Hannah was recently elected to the IDAA board of directors in November. He is attending the Singapore Air show with his company. “Singapore has been a great experience so far,” said Hannah. “The Idaho Pavilion is getting a lot of traffic. The setup from Black Sage does a great job of attracting interest to our booth. But, one of the best parts of the show is getting to know the other Idaho companies. Working together like this will help us build a stronger alliance where we can promote each other back home.”

The IDAA’s partnership with the Idaho Department of Commerce on international trade initiatives enable IDAA members to overcome logistic and economic barriers to attend global events.

“The cooperation between the IDAA and the Idaho Department of Commerce allows us to help many members of the aerospace community in Idaho to promote their businesses internationally,” stated Senior International Trade Specialist for the Idaho Department of Commerce and the Secretary of the Board for the IDAA, Sarah Massie. “We’ve really been able to gain traction internationally by creating shared Idaho Pavilions at events like the one in Singapore over the past few years. The Idaho Department of Commerce has seen amazing successes for its Idaho companies from the Farnborough, Taipei and Paris airshows so we look forward seeing the results that will come from the Singapore Airshow as well.”

The IDAA understands the importance of the growing aviation market in Asia. In August of last year, the IDAA signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Taiwan’s Taichung City Government’s economic development bureau. The MOU was established to promote growth and development and to promote exchanges between Aerospace companies.
