Priest River, Idaho, September 11, 2017- Aerocet Aerospace Manufacturing (Aerocet, Inc.), today announces the receipt of four noteworthy certifications / registrations in recent weeks, placing Aerocet in a prime spot for many select contracts. The following list encapsulates these certifications and what each of them mean in terms of securing high-level manufacturing projects from NASA and other proprietary customers.
AS9100D – This certification recognizes the addition of 55 aerospace industry specific amplifications and requirements added to ISO9001, which Aerocet took great pride and care to establish to obtain this higher certification.
SBA Certified Hubzone Firm – This certification will give preferential access to Aerocet based on its location in an “Historically Underutilized Business Zone.” Aerocet Aerospace Manufacturing is based in North Idaho. “The Hubzone certification will specifically allow government agencies, such as NASA and the Department of Defense, to utilize the program’s incentives for contracts awarded to Aerocet,” said Garry Hojan, CEO. “U. S. Federal agencies have more than 3% of their budget in the form of prime contracts which must be awarded to HUBZone firms like Aerocet, and agencies can be penalized if they don’t meet the requirement. Our capabilities are documented in our portal profile, the System for Award Management (SAM) and they Dynamic Small Business Search (DSMS) databases. We have made these investments to work as a prime contractor for the various federal agencies and we look forward to fulfilling the intent of HubZone employment goals as contracts are awarded through this broad new channel.”
ITAR – In addition to these prestigious certifications, Aerocet has received recognition for International Traffic and Arms (ITAR) Compliance, which is a set of United States Government regulations on the export and import of defense- related articles and services. This certification recognizes that Aerocet strictly follow these rules.
“In summary, what these certifications mean is that Aerocet Aerospace Manufacturing is certified and ready to manufacture and deliver high-level, certified manufacturing services to our customers and governmental agencies,” said Garry Hojan, CEO. “We are proud to have achieved these certifications and look forward to continuing to provide high quality manufacturing for our current and future customer bases.”
