Tamarack Aerospace Group Achieves New Milestone

 IDA member Company Tamarack Aerospace Group Held a Groundbreaking Ceremony July 31st for their New Facility at Sandpoint Idaho Airport.

IDA President Jim Glenn attended the event and was treated to an exciting low level flyby with the pilot banking the aircraft to show Tamaracks winglet system. Tamarack’s President Nick Guida gave an overview of the system which is pretty technical but simply put extends the distance an aircraft can fly by reducing  fuel consumption, improving range, and increasing the load the airplane can carry. The groundbreaking was for Tamaracks new FBO or Flight Based Operation at Sandpoint Airport. About 100 visitors including local and state officials toured the staked out ground where the new facility is being built. Different colored stakes designated current and future phases which will be built as the company grows. When the construction is complete they expect to create about 150 new jobs for the area.
